Barrie Kosky Wins Gramophone Classical Music Award 2024

The winner of the Opera category of this year's Gramophone Awards on Wednesday 2 October was the video production of Leoš Janáček's opera Katya Kabanova, which was staged at the Salzburg Festival in August 2022 and directed by Barrie Kosky. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra was conducted by Jakub Hrůša, and the main roles were performed by Corinne Winters, Evelyn Herlitzius, David Butt Philip, and Jaroslav Březina.

Jakub Hrůša, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, singers Corinne Winters and David Butt Philip – they all performed at this year's Dvořák Prague.  And we will welcome the director of the production personally as the laureate of the Antonín Dvořák Prize at a concert on 9 December 2024 in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle.
